Look to the Stars! (April 19th,2007)
This is an exciting couple nights to be looking up...in the south west sky (hopefully you will know where that is) there will be a beautiful cresent moon, between the Pleiades star cluster and bright Venus. It will be an awesome sight! Venus is the brightest thing out there right now--you may THINK it's a star but guess what,it's the Goddess of Love Planet! And the Pleiades, will look like a tiny dipper shape of stars clustered together. Sooo pretty.
So,the Seven Sisters (the Pleiades) will be visiting the Goddess of Love, much to discuss I am sure. The Man in the Moon will feign sleeping so he can evesdrop on all the details....
But they will soon be gone with summer approaching so don't miss seeing them while you can! (or you have to wait till next fall) Saturn is out there now too,but not so easily spotted if you don't know where to look. Try finding an small orange-ish looking star, face south but look up...
If you stand there long enough, you may even see a shooting star streak by! Don't forget to make a wish!
